The Old Chapel of Ermington
Ermington is a small village in the Southams, half way between the sandy beaches of South Devon and Dartmoor.
The Old Chapel was built at the end of the XIXth century by the Methodit Church and used as a place of worship and Sunday school until the 1980s. It was then converted into a dwelling
It has been our home and home to Materia Aromatica for a number of years now.
More recently, we have converted the vestry - The private residence of the priest - into a guest suite (for 1 or 2 people) comprising a bedroon area with a large Emperor size bed, a lounge, a dining area and open kitchen bar and a shower room. The suite opens through a set of French doors onto a decking ideally suitated to receive the morning sun.
The Chapel is located within walking distance of our pet farm. If you are familiar with our website and newsletters, you will have already seen snipets of all our animals. If you like animals or are simply curious, we will be more than happy to take you to meet them all, have a first encounter with alpacas perhaps, feed the goats and the chickens, meet the horses and enjoy the peace they bring to that small piece of land.
Of course, if you wish to sample Materia Aromatica oils, we will have testers ready for you. The suite has a diffuser which will give you the opportunity to experience the true fragrance of your chosen oils or blends.
Bookings can be made through AirBnb. Simply enter Ermington, United Kingdom, your cheick in and out dates, in the search bar.
