Herbal Healers for Pets

I have always had animals, certainly not as many as I do now. Life has taken an unexpected turn leading me to rescue a horse (an ex-show jumper whose future was very uncertain) and 4 goats who are now sharing 5 acres of land with a small herd of alpacas and a flock of chickens and water fowls. Little did I know that I was embarking on a journey, via a very bumpy and hilly roller coaster, that has led me to explore the world of natural healing applied to animals big and small.

My journey has led me to understand that healing does not just happen on the physical. Sometimes and perhaps often, the root cause of the illness is not found in the body and it is not until the emotional and spiritual have been addressed that healing is allowed to take place in our 3D vessel. This is valid for us humans as much as it is for those sentient beings that are our pets and animals. Combining different modalities through herbal medicine, aromatherapy and vibrational therapy offers a custom made package that can bring relief, even healing and improve the well-being of your animals.

This section is the result of my constant theoretical and practical learning. It will expand as I move along the curriculum of life and the herbal course I am currently studying. It does not aim at offering a diagnosis or prescribing remedies. If you are already practiced in the art of zoopharmacognosy - offering plants to animals -, you will find tools and information in this section. If you are a medical herbalist, you will find a source of organic herbs and oils for your practice. If you are a beginner, you will find something to inspire you and start this fascinating journey with your pet. Your animal will love you for it and the bond between you will be strengthened for ever more.
Zoopharmacognosy is a good and gentle way to start exploring using oils, herbs and flower essences for animals as it lets the animal choose for himself what he needs. Both plants and herbs can be offered to smell or eat at the animal's discretion. As we all know, plants are powerful healers and may interfere with conventional drugs. If your pet is under medication, please make sure to check with your vet that your choice of herbs will not interfere with his prescription. Some vets will be open to alternative remedies and will have the knowledge to advise you.

I have partnered with Jane Swanston from Hearts and Paws healing who provides Energy Healing for all pets and animals. Jane has designed a range of blends using the energetic healing frequency of flower essences and crystals. Etc for Jane to add a few sentences. just intro - the blends can be described in more details in the section for your blends.

We both hope you will enjoy browsing and exploring.
